PGA of Canada Professional Staff

Kris Zubiak - Head Professional
headpro@svgcc.ca

I was born in Bonnyville, AB, though I spent most of my years in Fort Macleod AB. Lethbridge AB is where I enrolled in the golf professional management program at the Lethbridge College and transferred to the University of Lethbridge to finish a degree in business management. My passion for golf began early on in life. By the time I was 14 years old I was coaching Junior Golf programs at the Fort McLeod Golf Club and knew then that I would build my career in the golf industry. I love to grow the game of golf for all demographics. My passion for golf and business has remained strong during the past 14 years as a carded golf professional.

Chase Rau - Associate Golf Professional

Chase was born and raised in Westlock. His passion for golf began at an early age at the Westlock Golf Club where he was Junior Club Champion 3 consecutive years. He worked on the Turf Care crew from 2011 - 2015 while attending University of Alberta in the faculty of Education.

Chase passed his playing ability test after joining Sturgeon Valley in 2020 and is working to become a Class "A" Associate Professional. Chase is an approachable and friendly addition to the professional staff at Sturgeon Valley and is looking forward to developing as a Golf Professional.

Marc Lalonde - Assistant Golf Professional
[email protected]

Born in Penticton BC and raised in Valemount BC, Marc developed a love for golf at a very young age. He spent most of his summers working on the grounds crew so he could play as much golf as possible. While playing the game was always a passion, teaching golf and helping grow the game quickly became Marc's true calling.

Marc graduated from the PGM program in Lethbridge, Alberta in 2006 and soon after moved to the East Kootenays. In 2008, he turned professional with his dad on the bag—an experience he will always treasure. Marc went on to attain his Class A Professional status in 2013.

To Marc, golf is the best sport and industry in the world. He is deeply passionate about growing the game, creating lifelong friendships, and helping others build lasting memories—always while having fun and continuing to learn along the way.
